Two Amazing Things

with one flick of our fingers
we bring in the day
with one flick of our fingers
we say goodbye to the day
before we sleep
and then, eight hours later,
the light greets us
it's no longer our fingers
but God's fingers that flick
and greet us joyfully,
"Good Morning, Sunshine."
And isn't hugging an amazing
act -
we cannot hug ourselves
but as we hug others,
our bodies expand - we hug,
and we are hugged,
and it almost feels as if we are hugging ourselves,
but the joy, the feeling that we feel,
is greater, better, more....breath-taking.
